Bounce Protection is a discretionary overdraft service that provides you a safety net up to an automatically assigned overdraft limit. Your Bounce Protection limit may be available for checks and other transactions made using your checking account number or automatic bill payments and recurring debit card payments. Also, at your request, we may authorize and pay ATM transfers or withdrawals and everyday debit card purchases using your limit.

If suspicious transactions are detected, a fraud specialist will attempt to contact you by telephone to verify the authenticity of the suspicious debit/ATM transaction. The fraud specialist may ask you to provide some information to help identify you as the cardholder by asking for either the last 4-digits of the your social security number or mother’s maiden name. You will also be asked to verify amounts and locations of recent debit/ATM card transactions. The fraud specialist will NEVER ask you for your complete debit card number, PIN number, full social security number or account numbers.
Your card is immediately disabled if fraud is confirmed. If you aren’t available, your card will be assigned a special “watch” status until we know all is well.

3D Secure is an innovative risk assessment service offered by Pendleton Community Bank, in association with MasterCard®. This service provides you with an additional layer of security when you use your Pendleton Community Bank MasterCard® debit card to make online purchases at participating merchants.
3D Secure confirms your identity using an intelligent risk assessment. This means you no longer need to enroll for MasterCard SecureCode™ or need a password to confirm your online purchases. However, you may be asked challenge questions for certain types of purchases.
If you cannot supply the correct answer to any of the above questions, your account is locked after 3 tries. The card will remain locked and your debit card cannot be used for online purchases for 1 hour. After 1 hour, you have 3 tries to enter the correct information.
